A young man, feeling totally unwanted by his family, runs away. He needs to find a way to survive, and eventually, he stumbles into an Op Rescue clinic.
The remaining chapters and epilogue will be released about one a day until this is done. Enjoy.

Xia Phar had a good life for a human on Saer’kah. She didn’t wear a restriction band and the Saer’khi family that had raised her since the Migration treated her like one of their own. Others humans on Saer’kah though had no reason to love the Saer’khi . At least Xia had some semblance of freedom. So when the humans decide to rebel against the Saer’khi and she discovers the real reason for the presence of humans and other aliens on Saer’kah Xia decides to take action. Enlisting the help of her family and her friend Tarek she forms a plan to get everyone out of the alien barracks without arousing suspicion and get them off Saer’kah on one of the newly built colony ships. Sounds pretty easy right? Now Tarek’s crush on her is the least of her problems and leaving Saer’kah is just the beginning.

This is an experimental story that alternates between the action of the story and a stream of consciousness by the narrator character. I'll be curious to see what people have to say about it.

I take out the box and…Oh em gee.

They’re Riedell’s…They’re Riedell’s Red ribbon ladies figure skates. I open them and they’re new and their white except for the sole/bottom of them which is red leather and red enameled bracing for the blades and they are so pretty.

I start tearing up and then Mom and Aunt Els and Mary Jane and Jen all hold up their skates and stuff and I can’t help it but bounce up and down. “Really!?, really!?”

Mom nods and has the biggest smile and she gestures upstairs. “Go get changed Steph we do have to keep or ice time y’know.”

I Squee! And hug her and grab M.J. and head upstairs at a run. “C’mon I need help!”

I just stared at him as he revealed that little tidbit of information and then when the names finally hit me I couldn’t help myself, I started laughing my ass off. “P-Please tell me you didn’t call yourselves that in public.” I heard Grandpa mutter something about ‘youngsters today’ but it was then that I realized that Crystal was staring at Eugene, the tall skinny one. “Earth to Crystal, are you okay?”

Mike smiled, “It was pretty uneventful after you and Lins left.”

Lindsay blushed a little. “Things did get pretty spicy.”

Mike laughed and shook his head. “Not exactly what I meant. Apart from babysitting It just wasn’t as much fun without you guys. Hey, think we’ll have any classes together this year?” he asked, changing the subject.
