Keeping it a Secret: Summertime Chapter 7

Thanks for all the reviews for "Keeping it a Secret" and "Keeping it a Secret: Summertime". I know there are several typos and errors made in each of the chapter; I'm not perfect. I'll edit them. But to make one thing clear: The girl here is Catherine not Claire.

I know this story doesn't have a start; that's the mystery and beauty about it. It is an expansion of the short story "Final Touches". Perhaps one day I'll write a prequel to explain why Clarence chose to temporarily transform to be a girl.

Keeping it a Secret: Summertime Chapter 4

I spent the rest of the evening searching the web for temporary jobs at Crighton beach but once again those I found weren't that enticing. Other jobs looked cool, but they would pay into the employee's bank account. I definitely had a bank account, but in the male name of Clarence, not that of a girl named Catherine. How on earth could I get paid without a real bank account to that name? As I continued to scan through job offers, it also dawned upon me that I needed a place to stay at the beach.

It's Simply Not Cricket ! - Part 2

Previously.......... And so it was that two months later in late January, the family would move to Brisbane to start a new life. Of course before then there was my return to school (as Geoff) and of the eventual and sad farewells on school break up day when friends were informed that we would be moving interstate.

It's Simply Not Cricket! - part 1.

Some time ago I started thinking about why Australia's national sport didn’t seem to have had a T G story written about it. As for how the young lad in the story becomes injured, by using the same idea about the way most injuries occur in sport stories on this website, seemed the most obvious.

Yet when you think about it, it really was the most logical and believable way for an injury like that to happen. If you’ve ever played cricket you’ll know what I mean.

While the tale is a complete fantasy and written tongue in cheek, could it ever happen?

Nikki, part 8

THREE MONTHS LATER

“Stop being so nervous!” Dad admonishes me as I nearly hyperventilate on the back seat of his car. “This is something you want to do, it’s something you know you’ll be good at, so the sooner you relax and start enjoying it, the better.”

“I know, I know,” I breathe, fanning myself with my hands. “It’s just- it’s just all so new!”

“Well get used to it, because that’s life for you,” dad states bluntly.
