Halloween - Chapter 1
October 31, 1970

“So what are you boys going to be for Halloween this year?” Mother asked looking directly at me while I was eating breakfast with my brothers.

“Are you asking Steven and Billy or are you asking me, Mom?” I replied.

Briony was enjoying her work for Jim Snow, the local estate agent. She had become familiar with the local area and developed a sense of values of local property. Initially, she worked part time whenever Jim had clients wanting to be shown around properties.

Synopsis- Dr Anne Richardson was a struggling psychiartrist fresh out of her internship till the Great Shift happened. Now she has plenty of patients.

Dreams

Normally I can't remember my dreams. But it seems that ever since I retired and moved up to this cabin, I've been having some strange dreams, dreams about me and my late wife Gail. I've been remembering them more too.

As seen in A New Style of Education (in July of 2005) Rachel Ruiz is the Head of the Support Staff, and the previous year (as seen in Hidden Gifts), Kate Mayhew was head. What happened? Another staff change occurred at the same time. Dr. Sue only recently became the primary internist for the school. What happened to cause this change? Did something happen last year to cause this staff change? Was the change voluntary? I wrote this interlude to rationalize, in my mind, why some people in important positions might leave without jeopardizing the school — And, in the case of Rachel, lay the groundwork (in my mind) for why they recruited a new Head, rather than promoted from within.

Jenny and Karen had spent the afternoon in the garden, taking in the “rays” and talking about the way their love might go in the future, against the imminent background of Christine’s return.

Andy had done most of the talking, it was true, and he was more than a little concerned that Jenny’s feelings hadn’t been expressed sufficiently. He knew what he wanted but he was unsure how Jenny saw this…….
