The passage was damp. Lychen covered the walls and matts of drying green scum covered the floor. The air was heavy with the earthy smells of rot and mildew.

Jane wend around the worst of it until she caught up to Paul. He stood at a junction. The corridor they were in continued to the right, but the left wall had been breached, opening the way into a natural cave. "Which way, oh fearless leader?"

The Spy Who Loved Me

The Spy Who Loved Me

Part 1

The mouse scratched at the walls of the small Plexiglas box it found itself in. It didn’t seem to notice when the lights in the room dimmed or when a robotic arm with a laser scanner descended from the ceiling and bathed it in a red wave of flickering light. A slight electrical hum filled the room. Moments later a shining object looking rather like a giant sparkplug lowered itself over the mouse.

A slightly hollow sounding female robotic voice echoed throughout the room. “Sequence initiation in three, two, one. Initializing.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the CEO of Future Global, Malcom Sanders.”

The lights in the conference hall dimmed and a spotlight appeared on a man dressed in jeans, tennis shoes, and a Hawaiian aloha shirt as he walked across the stage. After an initial robust round of applause the attendees fell silent. Malcom Sanders was the latest Silicon Valley technology wizard that had quickly established himself far above his competitors in recent years. His appearances were rare but always accompanied by life and market altering innovations.

Ever since I was a kid, I loved comic books. When I was in high school, I took a creative writing class and our term paper was to write a novelette. I wrote a series of comic book stories with each chapter being what would be an issue of the comic book. I was dressing up by that time, but had never heard of transgendered fiction. I wonder if the story would have come out somewhat as what follows. I have adapted the story, but because of the intervening years, current comic book fans may see some discrepancies. My knowledge of the more current X-men comes from watching the X-men and X-men Evolution cartoons, so there may be some discrepancies there. Please don't email me with these- just go with the stories. I also loved the Firestorm character and that is the source of some of the ideas of blending the characters. I figure give credit where it is due. As always, emails and comments are welcome, as long as they are not abusive.

Life in the city

It was my first week in the city, I had just turned 17, and since I wanted to go to college in the city, my family thought it was best for me to start getting used to living there a year ahead and I enrolled in an online high school program for my last year, it wasn’t a big deal for me since I didn’t have more than 1 close friend, Eliza, who I knew since we were 5, and pretty much didn’t care about anyone else in my school.

Why Would I Do That?

One evening whilst browsing the internet at home for e-books and interesting text files to download and read on my laptop to brighten up those dull evenings when away on business trips. As hotel internet access here in the UK costs an absolute fortune this was another step along the cost saving route.

Authors note:

part 1 got several ninja edits after I posted it. These are as follows:

  1. John's starting skill is 4, not 6
  2. Becca threatened to horsewhip Paul herself. She didn't mention her father.
  3. When Paul tried to grab the broom, it zapped him not John.

And now part 2

The Nigerian Scam - Ch02

Author's note: Things gets more weird. It's going to take a few more chapters before the big reveal.

After a short bike ride I arrived at an empty lot in between two houses. The GPS said that this is the right spot mentioned in the letter. I entered the empty lot overgrown with weeds and got to the exact indicated spot. There were no barriers or fences here. There was nothing much to protect anyway.

The well was large as far as wells went. Almost a yard across with a foot high rim. There wasn't even a road nearby just miles of forest in all directions. Yet the well had been there as long as anybody could remember. A solid structure of dressed grey stone, fitted together so precisely that the mortar was not visible between the interlocked courses. The problem, however was not the wells construction but the sudden lack of water.

My attempt at a LitRPG, though this one is set inside a Tabletop RPG rather than a Computer game. It is not a portal fantasy, people in this wold just have character sheets, and are able to access them with a thought, and occasionally receive game notifications which they assume come from the gods.

Some readers may be able to work out the ruleset I am using, or at least purporting to use. So far no actual dice rolling has taken place.

A Slow Change Part 3

When his sister came home, they at dinner together.

“How was your day?” Emma asked.

“Fine”

“Did you do anything fun?” Andrew got scared. He had to fight his body to not tell his sister. For some reason he just wanted to tell her and put the clothing on right then. Instead he just said “no I just watched TV and played some games.”

“Alright”

A Slow Change Part 2

The following Saturday, Andrew had the house to himself, as both his parents were away at a conference for a week and his sister was staying at a friend’s house. He was just finishing lunch, and after cleaning up, he began to head back to his room to get back to work. As he walked down the hallway, he noticed that his sister’s door was open. As he passed, he saw something in the corner of his eye that grabbed his attention: her closet was open, revealing a lot of her clothing. Suddenly, that strange urge began to grow again, and Andrew walked into Emma’s room.

"Rise, Sir Owain, I call you forth to walk among the people again, to do a duty that might, over time, calm your troubled soul. Rise!"

Jessie's Girl
