Just don't please.

I don't want links and redo's of my work, I don't want or need pages of suggestions on my work or stories either especially when I never asked. It's not cool, it's not okay, it messes with my spoons when they've been really low for awhile now.

I work graveyard full time and often OT, I single caregive to an aging parent in the minisculic time off that I get. I have shopping, dishes, housecleaning and laundry all on top of that not counting sleep.

I don't need the reminders that I haven't been writing, I don't need the pressure.

Please just stop.

It makes me not even want to come here to look at things.

Sending hugs your way, Bailey.

Do what you need to do and write when you can. I'll wait as long as it takes for a new part of a story or new story written by you.

Heck, I often go back and reread whole stories you've written now and then just to have a good read. Thank you.

Sorry for your pain

I'm sorry that you are so burdened right now and I hope that things get better soon.

Gwen

You've been on my mind lately

I'm sorry things have been a bit intense for you of late. Your writing has always been some of my favorite. Just your name on something guarantees a read. You are important. Your writing is just fun. Do what you need to do and write when you're inclined to. When you feel like writing again we'll be here. I'm sorry some people are lacking in consideration for others. You have my best wishes as you make it through this phase of your life.

Message to selfish people: BACK OFF!

I worked graveyard shift for 15 years. Trying to be there for my wife and daughter was rough and left little time for self. I latter worked day shift full time for 10 years while also being the primary (only) caregiver for my bedridden wife. Again no time for self. Both lifestyles wear you down and sap your soul. Having selfish people pestering you certainly adds to your stress. Take care of yourself, love yourself!

I LOVE your stories! I also understand that you can't write... family and self come first.

I send my prayers and love to you as well as hugs!

A body of work

To be proud of, seeing your name demands attention and usually an immediate read. I also go back and re-read stories sometimes because I know it will be good reading. Working the graveyard shift is tough. Please hang in there and keep on looking for the good things in life.

I love your work

I am sorry that you have such a heavy load in life. Working nights is doubly difficult, and then with someone to care for in your off time. It must be a terrible drain on you. I hope these words strengthen you, if only a tiny bit.

Peace

Gwen

have to agree

With everyone that has commented so far that I love reading your work and often go back to reread story's. But definitely agree that you have to take care of yourself and family first, we can wait till YOU ARE READY! But only then, NOT when you feel pressured to. Take care of yourself first and hope get through this.

Sending strength and best wishes

Hugs

Sending virtual hugs your way. You are absolutely right with what you have posted, and I hope that the intended people get the message. I also wish you and yours good health to help lighten your burdens. Be well.

Just glad you're here

I hope the people bugging you take your words to heart.

I for one have always loved your stories; I often read them to ease my heart when I'm feeling crushed.

I'm grateful for whatever you are willing and able to give us, you who have given so much.

And I hope life eases up for you soon....

Who, me?

I try to do as much as I can to avoid disturbing an author, after all I'm sharing the same boat with you. But by the same token I worry that an author might feel like she or he has been forgotten. I know a couple of authors have left because they no longer felt appreciated. No hits, no comments, no kudos.

I try to joggle elbows as little as possible while letting the author know they are still appreciated. It's a very fuzzy line and it's hard to keep from stepping over it. This is why I comment every so often and drop a kudo here and there. I don't expect a reply, I'm not looking for any answers (although they would be nice). I just hope the author sees them and thinks "Hey, people are still reading my stuff!"

Bailey, Ifyou writesomething

I will read it and be grateful I will likely leave a comment. Frankly reading is what keeps me sane since I've been paralyzed for the last two years.Thank you.

Big hugs

Love you, Bailey ❤

Bailey, I'm betting most of us have experienced exactly what you are going through in different ways. Yet, not a single one of us can know what you feel. The worse part is when we hit that point when we feel no one cares and we are all alone in the abyss we think our life has been cast into.

Sugar, you aren't alone. Hundreds, thousands care about you or they wouldn't be inquiring about you. The virtual hugs will never replace the real ones. I wish I was there, we'd go for a milk and donuts at Quick Stop. I don't drink coffee, tea, or liquor, but not opposed to others having it. I cut out soda pop due to no longer fitting into that LBD. It didn't help when I stepped on the scale yesterday. I'm 17lbs past good. That's a sack of dog food. It sneaks up on us when it is on the waist and hips. Never trust those electronic scales! LOL

I brought a bottle of wine back from Amarillo for a girl friend yesterday. I tasted wine only one time in my life. So maybe? If you were in the neighborhood? You could have it and she'd have to wait until next trip!

You may be across the pond but I'm still as close as your fingertips. You feel like sharing the load, I'm here. I only ask you give me time to respond as my world is bogging with things that need attention. It isn't you are less important to me, I'm not on the net 24/7. Yeah, I know, excuses are like noses, we all have one or more.

always,

Feeling Somewhat Torn...

waif's picture

Bailey,

It appears obvious that you are under a lot of pressure. I count myself as one of your fans and I hope and pray that things work out in a way that allows you to be happy in your personal life as well as prolific in your writing.

I think that sometimes we, who are fans, do not consider that the authors here have lives of their own that may well be every bit as demanding as our own. Part of this is your own fault, and I say that ironically. We look to the authors we read as a means for us to escape our own stresses and pain. I would think that is even more probable for those of us who have gravitated to this particular site. In escaping our own pain, we often fail to realize that some choose writing as their own means of coping.

All I can ask is that we all deal with each other in a tolerant and loving manner.

I am so glad that I have found this place and been able to share a part of the lives of you whose works and commentary have touched my own life.

waif

Be kind to those who are unkind, tolerant toward those who treat you with intolerance, loving to those who withhold their love, and always smile through the pains of life.
