I think I've mentioned before that I struggle with the day-to-day stuff, of which shaving is the most difficult for me.

Having a dark beard on white skin that grows faster than anything is a pain, especially when five-o'clock shadow is probably the easiest "tell" out there, but more permanent solutions are beyond my financial reach, so I dont have any choices.

Sometimes, a girl has gotta do what a girl has gotta do.

Ah, well.

Isn't electrolysis cheaper in the long run than having to keep on buying razors and shaving foam?

Laser electrolysis

.... seems the best choice given her dark beard and white skin. Great thing is you do not have to let it grow out before it gets treated as it is recommended you shave first.

I wish I had that option when I did it in the late 1980s.

Kim

Just had it done for the first time yesterday.

Not instant gratification, but we'll see. Never let them tell you it doesn't hurt though, it does. Compared to electrolysis it is cheaper, but still. 6 Treatments for $183 on the face, and I'll use electrolysis later to finish up.

Looked and felt like I was in a bitch slapping contest, some swelling and blotchiness. Still kinda sore 24 hours later.

I was thinking the same thing as Extravagance. Or you could save up for it.

What the pluck

If you have plenty of time and patience, you can pull out those whiskers with tweezers. It's even cheaper than shaving and lasts longer, but it hurts like hell and it has a greater chance of producing ingrown hairs, so you need to cleanse and exfoliate more thoroughly.

laser hair removal

I have had 6 laser hair removal treatments on my face and neck while yes it is painful but the savings is well worth especially on concealer and foundation since I no longer use either. Check living social and groupon in your area if they have it in Canada. They have deals all the time on laser hair removal. I just started living full time last Thursday but still waiting to get on hormones but on blockers which has given me an a cup.

It is a long road ahead but I will finally become who I should be.

I spent thousands of pounds on electrolysis

As laser treatment was still in its infancy. Don't let anyone tell you that either is cheap; it's not.

Hair started growing after the birth of her son so a work colleague had to have her upper lip waxed every six weeks. That had to hurt.

Operators vary in skill; some are good but many are c**p. Choose carefully.

I hope that you can find a solution soon.
