I had a nasty flashback/nightmare today (I sleep days, because I work nights).

It was so bad I actually threw myself off my bed and woke up on the floor.

I'm so dam tired of this ....

I suppose it is better to throw yourself off your bed, then to throw yourself off a building. I've been battling my own depression, I guess it's kind of silly to see your papergirl cry when tossing papers out of a van, but that was what I was doing last night (again).

Writing is what you do when you put pen to paper, being an author is what you do when you bring words to life

To both Dorothy & Katie, I give you this little pearl.... I have had flashbacks for almost 50 years now, I killed a man before I turned 20 & it wernt no accident.... after about 10 years of therapy I finally was able to forgive myself & then him(he had killed my best friend)....all I can tell you is they really dont go away you just learn how to just ignore them & go on with your life.. My prayers to the Lord are for you both Hang tough kids

My next door neighbor has

My next door neighbor has "night terrors". He threw himself off his bed over the weekend from one, landed on his face on the floor and several pieces of bedside furniture, and broke several bones. Just came home from surgery to repair them. Doesn't look or feel real chipper today.

Don't know the source of his terrors, whether it is PTSD or what. Can be pretty severe.

See, even in this you are not exactly alone, either.
