Since no one seems to have blogged about it yet I thought I'd mention some tidbit of good news out of my home province of Ontario. It seems that all three parties (seriously, even including the Conservatives) unanimously voted to adjust the Ontario Human Rights Code to prohibit discrimination against transgender people.

It's a first for any Canadian province but I do believe it won't be the last. Hopefully other provinces will follow suit in time. :)

Ontario Human Rights

That's awesome. I'm proud to live in Ontario at this moment. Hope the other provinces follow suit fast. The prairie provinces will probably resist it longer, even though the Conservatives here seemed to support it. Some of our sisters and brothers in the USA need it too, especially in places like Tennessee, known to be especially LGBTQ-unfriendly. Or as Bailey Summers says, "Banjos, fasterisking banjos!"

It would appear that our neighbors to our north have found it in there heart to join the 21 st century recognizing that people come in more variations than black and white. Thank you for good news very good news, and I am with Wren when I can I want to move to where people think.
