is certainly living up to the hype so far!

Which has led to me having a few days of frustration this week. So i ordered the new rubber for Foxy on Tuesday which the shop claimed to send Wednesday - however the carrier apparently didn't collect until Thursday, things were not looking good. To save a bit of time i stripped the wheels ready, there was no way i was risking the tired tyres for another ride so i decided to get in a walk instead which is how i ended up doing a bus assisted walk from halfway to Bath! Not countryside exactly but the bike path gives the illusion as it cuts a swathe through the late 20thC housing developments, 14km in total which was far enough.

Friday, no further word on the tyres, i settled in for a writing session before a walk to the shops for components for Sunday's roast meal. The prospect of missing another ride on Saturday hung heavily, no doubt it'll be another walk instead.

Convinced i wouldn't be riding, i was taken aback to get a message predicting a mid morning delivery and even more so when the packet arrived @ 9.45! I'd get in a short ride at least. Tyres were fitted, cycling togs attired, food consumed and shortly after 11 i set off for a short bimble. There wasn't a plan as such but the stiff easterly suggested a visit to the Cotswolds - well one thing led to another and i ended up with a loop through Corsham and back to the Avon. The highlight was seeing a Little Owl and in the end i just topped 101km - so much for a short ride, no tea stop though, i was riding on endorphins!

Which brings us to today. Its a busy day, once i've finished here on BC, i'll take a walk then i have a Gaby chapter to finish and a 'roast' dinner to cook, yesterdays ride certainly lifted my spirits.

It looks like another bikini week ahead so i'm sure i'll be out and about, until Wednesday though,
