As promised, more photos!

I've taken an exercise sabbatical today - I've run, cycled or hiked every day this month and my body was telling me to rest this morning so instead I've sorted this out for your enjoyment.

Just to recap, I headed out into South Gloucestershire yesterday up to the curiously named Iron Acton before following the River Frome back to Brizzle. On the way I stopped off to see a Medieval barn, a couple of churches and to take some images of the fauna and flora, some of which actually sat still long enough for me to get in focus! See if you can spot the dragonfly and the other critters hiding in the view through the lens. About seven hours all told including lunch in a buttercup meadow and 25km / 15 miles covered by my abused ambulant units!

So there you have it, If you can identify anything, feel free to comment below.

The bits you didn't see coz they wouldn't stay still were the butterflies, Swifts, Skylarks and other dragonflies and even I didn't see the Frome Kingfishers!

More from me on Wednesday

Lovely

Have no names for most of the plants though!
The blue beastie would be a damselfly, wings folded back; the dragonflies hold their wings out sideways at rest.
5: Ivy leafed Toadflax
6 & 9: Oxalis, some in our front garden, been there for 35 years.
22: Purple Vetch annoying weed in Mum's garden ;)

PS hope you had the sun slap on..

I've mentioned before, I can burn through sf50! I have been putting the stuff on but, my own stupidity, I have got a bit, er burnt, this last week - i'm into peeling now! Oh well, and I tried to keep under the trees and i've worn a frock and everything.

What about the big floppy hat? Wonderful for keeping the sun off or don't you have one that goes with your frock? (te-he)

Ever tried to buy one under lockdown? The only place near me selling any sort of clothing is Sainsbury's and their choice of hat is 1 which might suit a 5 year old - maybe!

I do have my bush hat but, well it doesn't exactly go with any of my frocks! Lol
