Since I can't afford therapy, today I went swimming instead.

2 hours in a pool probably did as much good to my state of mind, and much more good to my body, than rehashing the endless cycle that is my mental health with someone would have.

Maybe even more . . .

The endorphins going is good for you, I go quietly potty without my regular bike rides!

! Yaaay Dorothy !

"Exercise" was one of the very first 'prescriptions' my therapist gave me.

Don't overlook simply walking, preferably in nature.

With trash knees and that for just about all 'sports thingies', I get tired before the sport becomes fun (perhaps due to a congenital hole between the upper two chambers of my heart, not diagnosed and fixed until 40 years later (!!) ) ... For most of my grade-school years, another boy and I took turns being smallest boy in class ... Uhm, contact sports are a hard 'no' ...

I ended up with swimming. The only problem is, that unless I keep my lungs about 3/4 full of air ... I sink in fresh water! The appeal of an activity, where if I stop working at it, I move away from air ... yeah. Not much appeal!

So I remain a 'mouse potato'. That's like couch potato, only with a computer and mouse.
