Well, I just got back from the Transgender Day of Remembrance, and it was very moving. So moving, in fact, that between the emotions it brought up, the stress of losing my best friend, the stress of my daughter's allergy attack on Friday, the stress of her mother's health problems, the stress of my job ....

I'm a little over-stressed, I think.

Prudence or paranoia??

I understand stress and the demands it puts on our bodies. I wanted to go to Seattle today for the gathering but decided a couple of days ago that there were just to many indicators that it was not prudent for me right now. In Washington we just affirmed same sex couples can partake in marriage. That has a lot of people very upset, like you would not believe. So for me a 60 year old women with two kids under 12 with bad legs just finishing up a divorce and a case with CPS, I thought I should await for next years celebration of pride and the memorial for our fallen comrades to catch up with my obligations to my community. This year I was just spread too thin.

How ever there is a still voice inside saying I am just Paranoid of what could happen and letting to much for the younger generation to carry.

First obligation Prudence

It is important to support this cause which you deem important. But you have more important obligations to preserve your health for you and your childrens sake. 60 years old and 2 under 12 is lots of work. Best wishes .
