but you can blame the weather!

We'll get to that in a minute but lets travel back to Monday first. To be honest it was a bit of a , well, bitty day, a few little jobs and a quck trip to the shops for milk, the weather wasn't up to much so a quiet day. The forecast doe Tuesday was quite dire so i decided not to go riding so it was another bitty day although i did gert in a slightly longer walk before cooking up Mad's special Bolognese sauce wgich we had with meat filled Tortellini - excellent even if i do say so myself!

And so to today. It looked like i should get a mostly dry ride in and that turned out to be the case. I hadn't been over the Severn for a couple of months so i thought i'd rectify that with a trip to the Forest of Dean, with a trip along the lower reaches of the Wye, through Tintern, to get me on station. It was certainly cooler today, well into single digits, i even broke out some long fingered gloves!

When i stopped for my mid ride burger i could see rain falling on the bridge best bit of ten miles away so having already donned my rain jacket for a bit of warmth, elected to keep it on for the return leg. I will admit to farting about a bit on the way back, a side trip down to Beachley which sits at the tip of the isthmus between the mouth of the Wye and the Severn before a joggle through Chepstow and back to the English side of the wet. 110km run off quite slowly but in my defence there was 1229m of up in there, a lot of which was over 10% climbed at a crawl, i don't care, i didn't have to stop and or walk, Foxy has some seriously low gears!

So, being Wednesday, todays Gaby chapter is book 1, chapter 30, Cheering Drew. Bank Holiday Monday and the lad is off to a race in nearby Sheffield complete with his own supporters club.

Well thats it for now, i'll be back on Sunday but due warning, that might be a late post too as the weeks two wheeled activity has all been jiggled about,
