to the weather

Yep, whilst not freezing, compared to last week even, temperatures here in the south west have dipped @ 5c although the actual weather remains mostly fry and bright. Cool enough that its long sleeves on the bike and tights (other leg coverings are available!) off the bike. Seeing as my Wednesday post disappeared, heres a quick synopsis of the whole week:

Monday - glued to the TV from 7.50am until 5.30pm for the coverage of the Queen's funeral.
Tuesday - ride down to Weston SM for lunch on the esplanade 112km
Wednesday - bit of shopping and a walk
Thursday - loopy ride through south Gloucestershire 109km
Friday - motorised visit to Angharad down in Dorset
Saturday - longer Wiltshire Cotswold loop 133km
Today - well its sort of a day of rest, you know, laundry, walk to the shops, cook something for dinner......

So nothing too exceptional, it was good to see Ang again - well its always good to see her and we had a delish roast dinner at the cafe too, 5 veg, roast taters, Yorkies and melt in the mouth roast beef - enough to feed a family of four!

I'm still quite a way behind my riding target, this week has clawed back some of that deficit and i've got a bit more 'thuse' than i've had for a bit, mayhap i can close the 600km gap a bit more this week.

So thats pretty much it, this week i'll be concentrating on catching up with some writing, hopefully there won't be any distractions this week!

I have of course posted another chapter of Fame today, Truth Be Told see's - well you'll have to read it to find out - no spoilers here!
