yes, its that time of the week again!

Well it looks like our glimpse of summer has ended, a cool northerly has arrived bringing with it lots of low cloud and a distinct chill. But I'm getting ahead of myself, stuff has happened since Wednesday so we'll start by returning to Thursday.

Of course, regular readers will know I'm a creature of habit and Thursday is bike day. Off I toddled to start a northerly loop in the hope of quiet roads and maybe some assistance on the way back. There may be many miles of lanes to ride but over the last 7 weeks of Covidness, many are now getting all too familiar, however, I found a new variation and enjoyed lunch sat in a quiet meadow in the shadow of the Cotswold edge. I didn't feel in the mood for too much exertion so I headed fairly directly back south to complete just over 112km of fairly flat riding.

My mood was no better on Friday, I did my run, I'm pleased to say I'm still improving a little but Seb Coe I'm not, then a shopping trip before working on your photo special!

And so to Saturday, more two wheeled adventure and whilst it was a nice ride, sandwiches on a village green, sunshine and low wind, my thuse was lacking and I returned with a measely 100km under the belt. I really need some more adventurous routes to spur me into some effort, I've had a pretty stagnant ten days or so and my mental state is deteriorating. Oh well, hopefully things will improve this week.

Today then, usually a day of rest for me, I instead went for an almost 10km walk, no food stop, just a trudge around as the wind got under my dress and froze bits that shouldn't be frozen! Not as much wildlife in Stoke Park, far too many people about, but interesting nevertheless.
