And so here we are again, me sat at the lappy posting another blog like wot I've done before.

Before I go any further, there will not be a Sunday posting this week or the week following as i'll be away from internet availability each weekend. The next scheduled posting will therefore be a week today, ie next Wednesday.

News since last time:

Well I went for a long walk Monday which was nice, what wasn't so nice was the fug I got into later. Yesterday however was much better. It wasn't my first choice but I decided on a trip to the coast.

Okay, so Weston super Mare isn't a great destination, no spectacular scenery, evocative ruins or stately castles but it does have plenty of cafes and its a relatively short ride away. A couple of hours out, pie and chips on the 'front' then a more meandering route through north Somerset and back to base. The ride was a bit shorter than some of late but 118km is still over 70 miles.

So I'm edging closer to the magic 10k miles for the year. Less than 200 imperial units to reach that milestone which means that by the time I get back from this weekend's sojourne to see an old friend, i'll have it bagged! Still on the subject of bikes, a special thank you to my benefactor who funded getting the 'trip' bike back on the road - i'll take it for a spin tomorrow to make sure its all working.

And so to today's posting,Native in a Foreign Land see's the start of the team's visit to Yorkshire, a few 'in' jokes for natives and observations to help set up the following chapters.

That's about it for today,
Tschuss until next week
