and the sky is grey.

Pretty much sums up this week so far.

That doesn't mean its bad, just that its typical late November weather in Englandshire. There has been some early morning frost here and further north, in GOC, high ground has seen a thorough dusting of snow. The most noteworthy thing though is a general drop in temperature, average temperature on my Tuesday ride last week was 6c, this week just 3c - which is perhaps a little lower than the seasonal average hereabouts. On the other hand its been dry for a few days so providing you are suitably dressed its not bad to be outside doing stuff.

So what have i been up to since the weekend? Well Monday i had figured in as a writing day and i tried, i really did but by tea time i only had half as much written as i'd hoped. That was a bit disapointing but not the end of the world.

Tuesday followed a similar pattern weatherwise, cool, grey start brightening and warming a little through the day. It was not a bad day for riding if you ignore the cold feet (i can have cold feet in the summer!) and i got in just over 90km either side of a cheese & bacon burger! Maybe my riding mojo has returned, i just couldn't face more than a couple of hours last week.

And so to today. After an early start to get the laundry out of the way before Aunty Bev's tradesmen arrived, i set to to complete the Gaby chapter i started on Monday. It seemed to flow quite well but it was still early afternoon before i finished. For those interested, its now up on my Patreon pages (https://www.patreon.com/user?u=38088018). Since then i've braved the cold to get some shopping, spent far too much of course but there's food in the freezer and bread on the side so i won't starve for a few days yet!

The rest of the week? well i shall be out on two wheels again tomorrow, i have vague plans of a destination that'll get me about 100km to add to the pot and a decent food stop. I'll be at the keyboard again on Friday when i'll also be baking again, some christmas fare but also a meat & tater pie, food of the Gods! Saturday will of course be the first bike ride of December, i have ideas for that but i'll await the weather before deciding.

So there we are, i'll be back on Sunday but until then, thanks for reading.
