Who is Chrissy?
by Julie D. Cole

Background

I guess anybody who has read 'At Last A Life' will know that Chrissy is a quiet guy who is gradually finding out about himself and particularly about his family roots.
Chrissy [Chris] was content to go through life in a mundane job and was going nowhere until he was given the chance to join his colleagues on a girly weekend in Birmingham.
By some strange co-incidence Chrissy met the Managing Director of the Company where he worked and as the story unfolded it was clear that there was a connection between them that as yet is not fully understood.
Along the way Chrissy has encountered a few problems but he/she has woken up and is already more assured and confident and very successful in his new female role.
The question is does he have the courage to carry on and live a new life with all the headaches and heartaches that may be involved.
Luckily he has been supported very well by friends and his close family and has quickly adapted despite some awkward experiences.
And along the way he has met and probably fallen in love with a quiet girl who was recovering from some bad experiences from a bullying boyfriend.
The story has taken a little time to tell because of the need to explain the characters whilst trying to show the experiences as Chrissy worked her way through them.
So apologies for the number of episodes but when an ugly duckling is changing into a swan a lot of feathers need to be pulled out to let the new plumes grow.
So Chrissy never asked for any of these changes or for much along the way.
She wrote a little poem just as an excuse for a posting to add a photo and thanks to Erin and Andrea she finally appeared:-

Who is Chrissy and where's she been?
Never hiding, never seen,
She's lived her life - a little sad,
Never naughty, never bad,

She didn't ask for much so far
No fancy phones, no watch or car,
When she was born, something was wrong
She was born a boy - she just went along

But now, with help and a little push,
She's changed her style, with little fuss,
No point to hurt, she can't change the past
So what's ahead - 'A life at Last'
