So, recently someone expressed interest in my stories, in editing them, and giving me advice on how to publish them. Those published will likely be Kindle or something like it, but I do want to publish a "dead tree" book just for my own personal satisfaction. That someone would show interest in my stories is a great surprise to me.
I have decided to greatly lessen my other activities and devote as much of my time as possible to writing. There is the question of wakening my long slumbering Muse, and in looking back at my account there was a time when I was writing a lot more than in the last 3 years. So, I am trying to get in contact with the mind set I had when I was writing.
"Katia and a couple other stories will be the first to go out, and despite the limited TG content, I hope to publish in General Public because what I publish will not have any explicit content. After that, I think I will try my hand at writing Feminist Science Fiction with no TG content.
So far, when I do get outed, people just do not make an issue of it.
And, this last ... a man has expressed interest in me, to my utter and complete shock. The likelihood of this developing favorably is not high, but I have decided to pursue this to see what happens. This is really confusing because he says he is American, living in London, my age and widowed. I am being very careful and will not be sharing bank information though my balance today is only two figures.
This feels really odd because I do not even know what my sexual orientation is. Really, I have no desire what so ever. Though, there have been some times where if the man had shown some back bone ... sigh.
And I really, really dislike the soggy, damp, mouldering, bleak, dark North West winters. If he carried me off to London what would that be like? He says he is doing a project soon in India. I wonder what that would be like? He's done work in Dubai where else might this lead?
I wonder if my imagination has run amok?

London, Luck And Love
I wouldn't have a problem with stories appearing on this site that have no TG content, as long as they conform to the general ethos Erin and her team have established here. I'd imagine that would need to be made clear on the front page, just so people knew what they were (or weren't) getting.
Feminism - some versions of it, anyway - and transitioning haven't always been the most comfortable of bedfellows - if that's the appropriate term to use. I'd be careful about labelling my fiction in this way, and just let the stories make their point without instilling pre-conceived ideas into their potential audience.
London's a strange place. It's always felt like a foreign country to me, even when I was living less than 70 miles away in Portsmouth*. It's a bit like that couple you know on the other side of town, they're great to go and visit but would you want to share a house with them?
*I hope everyone realises this has nothing whatsoever to do with the city's ethnic make-up.
Having said that, I love the place. London is probably the creative centre of the world. When you're there you really feel you're someone. If you ever get the chance to go there, grab it with both hands.

The rules
According to Erin, an established author may put non TG stories on this site. Though I know some who object, so my non-TG work may never see this site if they make a stink. I would feel bad as those here on this site have been loving and kind and supportive when I was completely bonkers.
So, a Kindle book is cheap, what ever.
I don't actually need the money, but a more public outlet for my stories seemed attractive to me.

From what I've heard of London weather-wise ,soggy, damp, mouldering, bleak, and dark would do a good job of describing it in the winter.
I'm sure there are Brits that would take exception to that... Sorry, I've never been there, it's only hearsay... so Gwen, take my opinion for what it's worth.

Apartment with windows then?
I presently live in an apartment in the basement with no windows. I hope that what I move to would be an improvement.

London, India and other stories
London is a big, noisy, bustling City. London & Me go back to the Mid 1960's, Swinging London and all that.
IMHO, at that time, London was at its creative brilliance. In Music you could try everything and get away with it. Some of the bands of the time are still getting away with it.
I've lived the majority of my life withing 40 miles of the metropolis.
For a lot of visitors, they are surprised at how multi-cultutal it is. Where else would you get Muslims going into a Jewish Bagle Shop and loving the product.
Sure it is not without its problems but get away from the West End and the other tourist traps and the place can be fantastic. There are some realy hidden gems like Crossness Pumping Station (don't laugh until you have seen it)
India is a different kettle of fish. If you think that London is crowded, then as thay, you ain't see nothing yet. Indian cities literally teem with people. Traversing a major city in a Tuc-tuc should be one everyone's 'bucket list'. Don't go to India if you can't take the heat, both in temperature of the atmosphere and in the food, Keralia excepted.
