It seems that the nuttso that tried to confess to the JonBenet murder some years ago has been cyber stalking a young woman he knew when he was a substitute teacher and she was 9 years old. He was cleared of having anything to do with JonBenet's death through DNA evidence, but since then he is alleged to be engaged in stalking at least this other girl. In the words of the InfoMercial, "But wait, there's more...." It seems that he has transitioned and is now legally female as well, and is still stalking the girl. She says he did it so he could get closer to women and girls. Just what we need, is it not?
He was arrested before while in Thailand where he had gone to get SRS, and I guess he managed to get it done in the intervening years, if the young ladies allegations are correct.
I am not sure if the girl who says she is being cyber stalked is telling all, but if John Karr did transition and have surgery, then I am sure that plays into the hands of those who want to keep TS down on the DSM5 as perverts, and does play right into the hands of the Dobson (Focus on Family), Blanchard, Lawrence and cronies crowd. Even if it is not true, then they will use the public statements to push their propaganda that "..children are not safe in ladies rooms because there may be a man in women's clothing hiding inside".
If she is telling it as it is, then what can we do to counter the negative publicity?

even if NOT true is harder to counter than anything else. You can show 100 high profile successes and one (even false) bad case ruins most of the gains.
Education is the ONLY help. Getting people to understand that T people are like anyone else. There are some that are good, and there are some that are not so good. Some law abiding, some criminals.

I can just imagine what the fundies will do with this.
Dobson and the rest of the focus on the family bunch have probably scheduled a whole week of airtime to talk about this.
And I always thought that was the dumbest argument there was for gender tolerance in restrooms.
It's a stupid argument if
It's a stupid argument if they try to do it, because it's so refutable. The vast, overwhelming majority of pedophiles are heterosexual males. Look it up with the FBI. So, by using that mode of thought, all hetero males are potential pedophiles. Which is also stupid. There's your defense.
