Well, I've now discovered that Mr. Nasty can strike at me, even when I'm in my manic phase.

I've been struggling for days with Mr. Nasty, who was beating me up about blowing my budget, and just assumed things would change once I left my depression phase, only to find out it didn't end the attack, just changed to a more self anger thing rather than just sadness.

So I guess I'm going to have to watch out for that.

Sighs, I could use some hugs . . .

Blue Devils or Red Devils, they’re all bad news. Hang in there!

Socrates (et al.) said "Know thyself.", and ...

You are >doing< so. Congrats! [1]

Learning and understanding is always valuable ... even if it sometimes hurts ... and sometimes the other way around, Because if it hurts, we get the learning ...

In both the mundane and the magical worlds, knowing something's true name, gives us Power over it.

You've named him, so compel Mr Nasty to tell you why he's here. He's only a mind-state, just as "real" as our terror on a roller-coaster - and he is just as ephemeral "as a bubble on the Ganges".

At an amusement park, our "tween" (not mine) (10-12 yo) freaked on a roller coaster. We did the usual group hug - and one in our party started reciting The Litany Against Fear": https://youtu.be/RSatsrkzIgU. This "derailed" the kid's fear and we "got her back".

Of course. Always. Huggles on the way via The Aether ...

... and delivery is at the speed of Thought.

My itsy-bitsy, teeny weenie [1] nasties are nowhere close to your guy. Not even even on same Continent.

But when I get 'hit', I grab Sandy Bear. maybe Dawg ( s/he looks like a cross between a deflated Dachshund and Winnie's Eeyore) and maybe Figment (purple dragon, orange dorsal spines and spike tail (thank you Walt Disney)). Then I head on over to, oh, I dunno (yeah, I lie like a rug ...) maybe BCTS, and some my favorites, like Ray Drouillard, Emma Anne Tate, and ... (wait for it) ... Dorothy Colleen.

[1] Let's have the nasties wear that yellow polka-dot bikini today, every day, all day until they go away. Now that has merit. Get this ear-worm into the nasties: https://youtu.be/ge9Ou3-YyqU
