So yesterday we had an exterminator in, trying to get rid of roaches.

So mom and I spent the day over at my aunt Terry's, and I got mauled (or at least nearly licked to death) by her dog.

Finally, we were allowed to come home, and we've spent since then returning stuff to their proper places.

So . . . yay?

I was gonna say there are worse things ...

than being nearly licked to death by a dog ... Then I remembered the ... 'creativity' ... of the Inquisition. I think they used goats ...

Anyhow, pay attention to any directions from exterminators.

Yey! Because >not< surviving a visit from the exterminators would mean that you were (were: 'passed' tense) the Main Character in a Franz Kafka story ...

At Cuddle Parties [1], sometimes a "Puppy Pile" happens. Never been in one, but I can dream ...

[1] They're legit. I've been to many: https://cuddleparty.com.

And I love the rules. Many are also good to follow outside of a party. https://cuddleparty.com/cuddle-party-rules. If followed by both/all, could avoid a >lot< of grief (in dating). And life.

Rule 11-a: Keep drinks outside of the actual cuddle space. When we are given that rule, all the 2nd+ time people chant "Because nobody likes to cuddle in a puddle".

Getting rid of roaches

I never have called in an exterminator for roaches. It's quite simple to get rid of them permanently. I just go to a drug story (pharmacy) and buy the largest bottle of Boric acid. It is either a white powder or colorless crystals. To use it to get rid of roaches just sprinkle it around the edges of your cupboard's shelves (just do it around the edges no need to cover the shelf), behind any appliances such as your stove or refrigerator, and any place else you think might be a place for roaches to hang out.

Roaches are dumb when it comes to what they eat. Boric acid is toxic to them. (See 3 under uses here.) Roaches are also cannibalistic and eat their own dead. A roach will eat enough Boric acid to kill six roaches before it kills them. They then crawl back to the nest and die. Their buddies eat the corpse and get enough to kill them. Usually one treatment is enough to do the job, but if the infestation has been left too long, it may take a second application a week later.

Hugs
Patricia
