Well i hope you think so.

My schedule has continued to be mucked up by the weather hence the late posting, hopefully things should be back to 'normal' this week!

So lets catch up a bit starting with Thursday. I'm usually riding of course but not this week, i was a bit lost to be honest, which is hpw i ended up catching the bus to Keynsham. It wasn't that i particularly wanted to go there but it was something to do. There's not a great deal doing there so after taking a shuftie at the meagre remains of the abbey (a couple of short lengths of wall foundation) i set off for a bit of a walk.

It was a nice day so i walked along the River Avon until the bike path crossed then followed that and a bit of lane to reach Bitton where i caught another bus. Not all the way back, just as far as Kingswood where i got in some shopping before walking back to the house. A total of 11km walked and a bit of sunburn, oh well, it was a nice change to my usual routine.

Friday looked like a good riding day so i came up with a loose plan involving, chips, Stroud and a lane i'd not previously ridden. And so it came to pass except i had a bacon & egg 'sandwich' instead of the chips. I do like exploring new roads, this particular one was single track and generally up hill for several kilometres north of Stroud towards Birdlip. The GPS claimed 70km when i got there so it was time to start the return, a warm trip back down the Cotswolds past Cirencester to Tetbury and back in through Badminton.

Over 140km all told, my longest ride for a while and 1100m of climbing left me quite tired. We did get to see a few balloons taking part in the 'Fiesta' which was quite cheering.

Saturday was spent doing a few chores, laundry, grass cutting, shopping and making abother crimble from the plums i scrumped on Monday - jist for the record, delish!

And so to today. I hadn't been out to the Downs for a while, in truth i didn't quite get there today, only riding as far as Devizes before stopping for some lunch. It was cooler than Friday but it did share a stiff wind for the return leg with enough up to add 900m to the pot in the 116km ride. So now you know what i was doing eather than posting here earlier today, yep i was 'enjoying' the Wiltshire countryside.

Next up, what you've all been waiting for, the start of a new Gaby book here, for free, on Big Closet! A lot happens in this next book so plenty to keep you entertained in the coming weeks and months. So read A Tour for Misty now, you know you want to!

Well thats it for today, i'll be back on Wednesday.

Tschuss,
Madeline Anafrid
