So when i posted on Saturday things were all set for Fathers Day yesterday, my brother and i had it planned, a scenic drive across the Yorkshire Moors followed by fish & chips on the way back - i was quite looking forward to it as i've not been up there in an age.

But then it went arse up or more correctly arse down. Pater took a fall in the early hours which eventually led to him being carted to A&E. No sleep for me and obviously the trip out was cancelled in favour of time at the hospital, the day was a stressful washout (a series of thunderstorms lashed us early morning then again in the evening. He was formally admitted in the evening but the various scans etc didn't reveal any new injuries so at least everyone got a decent nights sleep. My brother is away working all week so i'm here washing bedding and waiting for news. At this point we've no idea whether the hospital stay will continue or if he'll be home later - plan for the latter and hope, for everyone's sake its the former, its an hour minimum each way to the hospital for visiting but that is better than potentially a repeat of Sunday morning, i'll find out later.

In the meantime i need to get Foxy ready for the weekend trip to York, walk to the shops, try to sort out Fathers sleeping arrangements and once the washing is on the line, hopefully i can finish the current Gaby chapter this morning and get that up on Patreon.
