Since Sunday the temperature has rarely reached 0c!

Indeed i left Brizzle on Monday at 0c, when i got off the coach in Sheffield it was -2c! Not only that but the smattering of snow left from Sunday was, in Sheffield, somewhat thicker even at low levels.

Anyhow, here i am in frozen GOC, some of my plans are already weather affected but not to the point of inactivity. Yesterday i had a bit of a walk to fetch some supplies to cook one of my famous Bolognese last night and pork steaks tonight, bit better than the regular fried food and micro dinners the Old Man usually has.

Today, having hauled Foxy north, i went for a short bike ride, short mostly due to the temperature, it averaged -1c, dropped to -4c at the high point of just over 415m - that's higher than anything within reasonable riding distance of Brizz, as a result i climbed over 500m in just 25 miles! Like i say, a short ride across the city, pretty much all the way from east to west, @ 20km of which 12km is continuous uphill. A couple of brief photo ops then it was back across the city via a slightly more southerly route.

Hopefully i can get in a couple more rides before we head to Germany late next week.

I sorted out some Gaby files to post from GOC so today you get book 1, part 34, Gaby's Invite.

I might not make a Sunday post as i'm heading even further north to see my kids but i should be able to squeeze some web time maybe Monday for a further post from book 25. In the meantime i'll be visiting friends, partaking of a Christmas market and hopefully getting in another ride - if the weather allows!

Take care,
Tschussie,
