have started to litter the roads and paths, which can be both a blessing and a curse, blessing as we know the seasons are turning, curse as it can make road surfaces a bit dodgy on 2 wheels!

The weather has been a bit changeable anf more unsettled too. Thursday i set off expecting perhaps a light shower or two but although there was some damp, it never really rained properly all the way to my regular 'winter' stop in WSM. Pie and cheeps sat inside kept me warm before the essentially dry ride back. 120km, a small dent in my deficit!

Friday was much wetter, rain and stiff winds on and off all day which pretty much confined me to barracks, doing a few chores inside. But Saturday, despite being overcast was a much better day. I set off eastwards expecting to get in a longer ride but found myself heading back relatively early. I got to my lunch stop after 60km only to find it closed so i changed my plans again to ride a further 20km to a stop last used when Podracer visited last month. The food and ambience were great but my enthusiasm had already waned so instead of taking the longer route i had been thinking of, i ended up on more direct roads. My mood wasn't helped by a deflation just 3 miles from base but the day had remained dry even id the tarmac was damp. 110km werte added to the pot, thats over 200miles for the week.

I don't get many comments on the stuff i post here but it took me over an hour going through my 'back catalogue' to read all those i've not previously picked up. Quite a task given the number of posts i've made and those comments pertaining to something like 100 different releases! I mention this just to assure anyone thinking of commenting that i do read all the comments left, even if not straight away, if you need a response, please message me as i pick those up on a daily basis.

So, no new post today but next Sunday will start the posting of Gaby Book 25, Only Five Minutes. I'll be working this week on the full version of the newest book which i'm hoping to have out on Hallowe'en or as i know it, Mum's birthday! I will of course continue posting the missing bits of book 1 on Wednesday in between dodging the weather for my bike rides.

Thats it for today though, have a good week,
Madeline Annafrid

Be careful on two wheels.

They talk about leaves on the railway line at this time of year but the same applies to wet leaves on the tarmac. The result is a much-reduced coefficient of friction. I was out on my Triumph earlier after it had stopped raining and I nearly lost the back end twice.
