Yep, its the conclusion of the 24th Gaby book here at BC.

But before we get there, lets catch up a bit.

Its actually been quite pleasant at this end of the week, a little breezy at times but the sun has been out and temperatures have been mid teens, maybe not bikini weather but not exactly vest and top coat either! I set off for a gentle ride on Thursday, a northerly route tracking the Severn to my early tea stop, then on through Berkeley (look up Jenner, Smallpox) before turning 'inland'. Then it was a bobbly route through the lanes to Wikwar before looping under the Cotswold edge to return to the 'big city' to complete the day's exercise having clocked up 107km.

Friday i knuckled down to some writing straight after breakfast and finally finished the chapter i started 10 days before. With that done i managed to visit the shops but succeeded in doing not much else the rest of the day. Patreon supporters can read it now, the rest of you will have to wait!

And so to Saturday which whilst cool early on, turned out a really nice day. I set off east over the Cotswolds with no particular destination in mind until i reached Malmesbury from where i took the lanes which continue east to Royal Wootton Bassett where i headed for the snack bar in the park. one tea and a bacon sarnie later i returned to the tarmac to start the haul back to Brizz taking in Chippenham, Box and Bath on the way. The GPS claimed 134km for the day but a few metres less than 900 in terms of up.

I've been clawing my way back to my year's target but i'm still some 500km plus kilometres in arrears, with over 4000km left to do, i need to ride an average of 50km each day for the rest of the year to hit the 10,000 mile mark. It doesn't sound much put like that but its quite an investment in time and energy nevertheless, its doable but any hiccups from here on in will be harder to cover so fingers crossed.

I have posted the conclusion to the 24th Gaby book, Fame, this morning. Truth Be Told sees the Wunderkind return to the comparative calm of pre Christmas in the Ahrtal and starts ti set the seen for book 25, Only Five Minutes which i'll start to post in the next couple of weeks.

That about wraps things up for today, i'll be back with more on Wednesday,
Tak,
Madeline Annafrid

I seem to have 'lost' a chapter somewhere in book 24, Fame, todays post is the final chapter but previous posts are in places out of sequence and/or mis titled. I will have to start at chapter 1 and check all the way through which is of course a big job but i will get to the bottom of things!

Sorry for the mix up, i hope to have it done at some point today.

Okay, that went quite easy in the end.

So i've gone through from the first chapter, checking that all chapters are in place, in the correct order. Somehow several were mis-titled which resulted in some posting errors later. I've taken out duplicate postings, re-numbered as required so there should be a total of 37 seperate posts covering 38 chapters - i made the error of thinking there were 40 chapters like the rest of the series! I think its all correct now, my apologies, i blame being blonde which no amount of hair dye can disguise!

"It doesn't sound much put like that"

Back when I was in a cycling club a 125 km Sunday ride would take a few days to recover from. And when I was cycling 25 km to work I typically would cycle there one day, cycle back the next so I was only doing 100km total over the Monday to Friday.

Your "It doesn't sound much put like that" sounds excruciating to me. Love you. Love your stories. Love your cycling.
