confused? well i am.

Here in Brizzle Storm Eunice hasn't let up since late Thursday but for some reason its been renamed Storm Franklin by the Met Office. Yep, the weather has been a bit breezy and damp for three days so far and the forecast is for at least two more with winds as high as 80mph - not nice at all.

So lets catch up, sorry again for missing Wednesday, i was convinced i had posted but clearly the blonde gene affects memory as well as hair colour! On Friday i mentioned i'd completed another Gaby chapter, well, with Eunice drenching and blasting this bit of the world, yesterday morning i completed another - go muse, go! That put me on target for Friday, i'll be cracking on with morewhen i finish this missive.

The writing didn't take all day and the weather eased a little mid afternoon so i did manage a short leg stretch, just 50km to Bath and back. Lots of dead wood blown from the trees, the odd puddle here and there, it was only on my return along the bike path that i encountered proper damage, three downed trees, one across the Avon Valley's rail tracks which was curtailing their steam running day.

And so to today, this morning i took the opportunity to get a walk in between the heavy rain falls, @ 4 very windy miles, it wasn't actually raining but there was wet in the wind. Still, i and my clothes are just about dry and my run of daily exercise (at least 20 mins) is now over 400 days without a break. It can be an effort to drag myself out some days but inactivity is easy to fall into and difficult to extract yourself from so staying active is a no brainer - even if it is just walking to the shops.

I've posted more from Fame, Going Forward introduces some new storylines and fleshes out some ongoing stuff, i hope you enjoy it.

Well thats it for today, tomorrow i'll be doing even more writing as Franklin blows through, hopefully i'll be able to ride on Tuesday but that may be delayed until Wednesday when i will post an update!

For now,
Wiedersehn,
Madeline Anafrid

Eunice has come and gone

Franklin is the next one to hit. I just watched the Countryfile forecast and Franklin will hit Scotland and N. Ireland.
Still gusting to 65mph around here tomorrow. Windy all week but Friday will be a much better day but looking at where the Jet Stream is... that will be the calm before the next storm.
I'd be careful on the bike this week especially on high ground and bridges.

not planning on any big bridges

on any big/high bridges this week!

As for high ground, 250m isn't exactly high but its as high as it gets around here, its less the height and more the exposure level!

Will see how it goes, Wednesday is looking less windy atm so might get in a short dangle.
