or is it the other way around? What, them's not the words? Pretty sure they are, its what we used to sing at school anyway.

Okay, i'll desist for now, spoilsports. I suppose you want some words of wisdom or stupidity or something like that so here goes.

Exercise first i guess, i've now ridden on five consecutive days, each time somewhere between 55 and 135km, thats close on 400km, over 500 for the whole week. Okay, i've not completely given up on the 10k miles but its still 700km away and i've only got 6 ride chances left - its doable, i can see a lot of saddle time this week in that pursuit, i'll make the final call later in the week.

Its been an interesting week, my travels have given me @ 50km of new to me tarmac, i've seen lots of interesting stuff - a Polish steam loco pulling the local Santa Express, several nice old cars from my yoof, new views of Aquae Sulis, a variety of hawks showing less caution than usual as well as finding myself just 10m from 3 Little Egret's although i've still not managed a pic!

Today's Gaby chapter, Timely Effort, is a classic Gaby moment, an impromptu duel with her arch nemesis from Roskilde!

The reason for only having 6 riding days left, rather than 7 is two fold or perhaps three fold. Firstly i need some rest, as everyone seems keen to tell me, at my advanced vintage i need more recovery time than in days of yore, secondly, the weather forecast for tomorrow is horrible and lastly and certainly not least, i go for my Covid booster jab first thing in the morning! So tomorrow has been designated a 'rest' day before the final cycling assault, the following week is all rest afterall.
