Nope no zany kids entertainment, just my Sunday post before the Sunday roast!

So I'm writing this between my ride and Sunday dinner, roast lamb etc which I've got in the oven - Bev is literally drooling as she waits impatiently! (adendum - dinner got in the way - it went down quite well!)

I'm now fully empowered with the new PC, Word alike wp etc software package and even sound - oh there's some more software I want to get for photographic stuff and i will probably get a printer/scanner at some point but I'm effectively all up and running now. Sorting it all out has obviously dominated the latter half of the week but even so i've dragged myself on the bike a couple of times.

So on Thursday I headed generally north on a cool and grey morning, the forecast was dry, as it turns out, wet might have been better! It started out okay nut when i joined the A38 for a bit, the road was coated in a layer of mud which the tyres picked up resulting in a stop to unclog the mudguards. Yep it was up to a cm thick which made it impossible for the wheels to rotate - i had to repeat the process when i reached my lunch halt by Sharpness docks.

The roads were at least cleaner in the afternoon but a sloow puncture resulted in extra stops for reinflation which altered my approach route to Brizzle, even so i accumulated 109km. Friday i spent doing computer things but i did get a walk in then Saturday i eschewed a bike ride to do more installation stuff on the PC but only after spending time sorting out the bike ready for today.

And so to today, the forecast was bright but still in single figures, the wind still out of the north, I set off into the Cotswolds aiming for lunch up in the Stroud area. It was a nice if brisk morning and i made good time to my stop at Selsley on the side of the Stroud valley, the sunshine was deceiving tho', it was actually only about 0c! The wind was a bit more helpful on the return helping me complete the 105km and 950m in something under 4.5 hours.
