About 75 years ago allied forces landed on Normandy beaches opening a second western front (after the Mediterenean one). and the final act of the European part of WO2 was finally started. We still remember.

On the personal part. Everyone that reads this blog knows that I, be it personal or business , haven't had a good decade.

I pretty much have no chance to be able to afford a small home of my own, on my own as my credit rating is pretty much black due to everthing that happened in that previous mentioned decade.

People raise money for all kinds of things (go hatbox) . So I was thinking I'd try something 'new' and started this A home for me phase 1. If you want to donate you are more then welcome. But what I am asking here is that people reading this blog share the lin on there own page, social media etc

The amount mentioned is the minimum 'personal' financing / downpayment that the banks asked (1/5 of total amount) for the total project.

I paid my respects earlier today

At the Green Howards Museum in Richmond, N. Yorkshire. My father was in the Green Howards towards the end of the War. His first regiment got badly mauled in the fighting for Caen so his company joined up with the Howards. He went over to France on the 7th June and returned to the UK in Sept 1945 and was then demobbed. Then he found that his first wife had gone off to the US with an Airman. That happened a lot in those days.
I was with him for the 50th anniversary. He didn't make it to the 60th.

Lest we forget.
