It's about time I put down a few more words regarding the stories I've read recently. Not all - I can't remember them all.

The main stories I am following as serials are :

  • Easy As Falling Off A Bike by Angharad (that will keep me busy until doomsday)
  • Changes by Susan Brown
  • Transit of Venus by Rhona McCloud
  • UF2 by Barbie Lee (I like the Sci-fi twists.)
  • Lifeswap by Maeryn Lamonte (I'd recommend new readers to make notes as they read. It gets a bit complicated)

Stories which have touched a nerve and which I have especially enjoyed are:

  • Modern Bride by Czolgolz
  • John's Living Nightmare By Daphne Xu (Poor John!)
  • The Bridge by Dorothy Colleen (Big tear jerker)

There's many more, which I should have made a note of at the time. Thanks to Big Closet for giving us a place where we can enjoy all these stories.

There should be more blogs

There should be more blogs like this.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have neither the time nor the patience to read more than a fraction of what appears on the front page. This means I habitually commit that most grievous of sins, allowing a title or an image to dissuade me from clicking on a story.

Thanks to you I'm now heading off to read 'John's Living Nightmare'. I think I might check out 'Lifeswap' as well.

Ban nothing. Question everything.

Not enough story time

In truth, I don't have enough time to read the stories here. There are so many different things I should be doing instead. But BC is so darned addictive!

I was about to guide you to my comment on Johns Nightmare, but I see you have already read it (and fast too - 15000 words!) I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I.

Credit deserved

I truely loved this story. It really touched my heart and made me tear up. It was all the better for being a shorter story. It got straight to the nitty gritty and skillfully conveyed the anguish and depair of our heroine.

The credit is deserved, and given with gratitude.

Enjoying stories

I really like the stories that you have mentioned and a few others. In the last year or so, it seems that most readers do not feel obligated to vote or comment and it pains me since that is usually all the payment an author gets.

Lots of readers - not so many comments

Apart from my sporadic blogging, my only contibutions to BC are the Kudos and occassional comments. I do try to leave comments, as I realise most authors like the feedback. But it is difficult to do after every read, so I tend to keep comments to recently posted stories. And if it is a serial, I will comment on only some of the installments. I was a guest reader on this site for several weeks before opening an account, which I did in order to make comments. Many people are wary of opening an account unless they really need it which may account for the high read count but low comment count.

I'm pleased that you appreciated my blog entry.
