Absolutely Heartbroken. T_T

I just read a magnificent story by one of my favorite authors. I was accessing this site via my smartphone at the time, so it was a bit fiddly. I went to leave a comment... ...and I somehow managed to touch "ignore user" instead of "add new comment". D=
Just one single misplaced click/touch was all it took, and one of my favorite authors was instantly put on my ignore list. I was absolutely devastated. = (
Of course I immediately went to view my ignore list and remove the entry, but that did little to change how I felt. Hammering a nail into a block of wood and pulling the nail out again always leaves behind a hole, no matter how brief the period for which the nail was in there.

Dear admin team,
Maybe my experience is somewhat narrow, but I simply cannot imagine any situation in which a user of this site could be such an asshole that someone would want to put them on their ignore list with just a single click.
In my opinion, the process of adding a user to one's ignore list should have an extra level of confirmation. It shouldn't happen with just a single click. Being asked to specifically confirm the action could save other users besides myself a lot of unnecessary anguish... ;-;

Yours painfully and honorably,

Less Drama, Be Happy.

It was an honest mistake. Smart phones are not the best for the internet. Forget it and get on with the fun, eh ?

I have no choice at present.

The bad weather we've been having recently has caused loads of interference with my phone line. I have to turn off my smartphone's WiFi (for the sake of disconnecting it from my hub) and use 3G, or no BigCloset for me. = (

Just imagine.

Imagine if you got interrupted right then and did not realize you had ignored them, but on your next visit they were nowhere to be seen. OMG eek! Hey, I have hit "ignore" more then once my self when aiming for "add to favorites", it happens. I would like to see a confirm added too, don't beat your self up over it though, its just a clumsy miss-click like any other. However, keep a watchful eye on your ignore list, just to be safe.

PS. A title like you used for this scares people here.
Creating an "Oh no, what's wrong?" response.
Don't scare us like that.

The horror... The HORROR! D=

I suppose I should feel lucky that a connection problem and inadvertently adding someone to my ignore list have yet to coincide...
*Shudder*

Can't be done without writing code

It's easy enough to undo the ignore, I guess the original programmer thought that was good enough. Sorry.

Hugs,

Oh dear. = (

Well, thanks for looking into it anyway.

Not a programmer

But I think it is "good enough".

Been there, done that......

Didn't think it was a big deal. Now if it sent notification to that person that they were being "ignored", I'd have a real problem with it! Lifes to short, just say Oops, smile, fix it, and be happy hon! Hugs, Taarpa

The thought of inadvertently ignoring someone whom you hold in such high regard is an awful feeling indeed. I can't even describe it.

Ignoring someone

doesn't prevent you from seeing when they post a story/blog/comment, it simply hides all the text contained within until you click a case-by-case button to view it. The first time they posted something, you'd see what you'd done and be able to fix it :P

It doesn't really do anything to heal up the hole left by the nail, but I appreciate your trying to help.
