Well, today I had an awesome day. Queen Ruth (who is a reader here, for those who dont know her) happened to be in town, so we met at the mall talked for a couple of hours, walked around the mall and just before I was to leave, she went and bought me a crucifix.

She really helped me with my anxiety over the surgery too, so that was nice.

If you ask him nicely,

Bailey might just take you with him and Jonelle on a tour of the UK, should they ever win the lottery.
I don't have to tell you who you might meet... :)

Quite possibly, depending on which locations within the UK are included in their tour. I'm not the only UK BCTS member, of course. = )

Dorothy..

You are one awesome lady and it was a pleasure to pass a couple of hours in your company. Our LGBT group that meets at the BUC, we helped with the food preparation & service for the National Afirming Conference, held there last August. I did meet a young couple from Edmonton but I have been unable to obtain their identity. The national body were the only ones who had an attendance list - the BUC only provided the venue as they have been an afirming congregation for some time. The BUC's Minister is a member of our group and we are looking to forming a senior LGBT drop-in center for West Island people who have trouble socializing with like minded individuals. The teen drop-in center, which operates 2 or 3 afternoons a week has been an unqualified success.

Keep the faith - chin up - chest out and remember that the Deciderata says that we have the right to be ourselves. The crucifix is so important to you, that I couldn't let you walk away without a memento of our meeting.

Ruth

May the sun always shine on your parade

thanks again, Ruth.

I had a wonderful time listening to your stories. Boy, what a full life you've led! You should write it down and publish it here.
