This is unbelievable!

I missed my sixth anniversary!

Can you believe it's been six years since I began stalking this site? I can't. I didn't realise it had been so long.

Well it has and I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank Erin and her crew for keeping this site running and all you peeps as well as me entertained.

Here's to the next six, Erin and thank you!

Doesn't Time Fly?

When you're having fun....and when you're not having fun too,

Joanne

Yes, time DOES fly, doesn't it?

Now weeks fly past like the days used to and I just don't know where the time goes.

Just this last week, Pen celebrated her **mumble**th birthday. I had bought her a present, which I was going to prepare and wrap on Wednesday for the big day on Thursday. Trouble was, it was Wednesday, not Tuesday as I thought. So if anyone sees Tuesday wandering around aimlessly and looking lost, send it back to me as I really did miss it.

Thanks, Jo

Jessica.jpg I don't just look it, I really do miss days, but I shall only worry when whole weeks go astray

SIX years!!!???

Only 18 weeks for me... you old geeser.

I have been at BC but a brief while.

Um, 18 weeks PLUS... a little more. Seven years.

But then seeing as I was but a young lad back in the day, a meer 47.

Holy Bat Doo-doo, Batman! I'm old!

Congrads Nick. Hope to see you post more of your great stories soon.

18 weeks?

That's no time at all.

The seven years is a bit itchy however!

I keep beginning stories, but so far, I'm doing really badly at getting any further than a few thousand words in, losing the plot and shelving the idea entirely. I am trying to rewrite The Sight and Cruisin' under new titles ready to put into e-book format, but that's not going any better.

I can't remember whether it's Alzheimer's or senility that's causing this...

What was I talking about?

Oh well, wake me up after another five or six years has passed.

Thanks, John

Jessica.jpg I don't just look it. I really can't remember a damned thing...

Congrats

So, six years - 2,190ish days, 52½ thousand hours.

Well, I've been here three and a third years, so about half the time you've been here. Based on various comments I've seen, I'm probably nearly half your age as well, so have plenty of time to make my mark on this site...

...that is, other than being a profilic commenter and hopelessly lethargic author - a combination of "I really must get around to writing some more of X... ooh look, there's a new chapter of Y, I'll read that first... ooh, a new chapter of Z, I'll read that first..." and the geeky equivalent of ADOS (checking my G+ stream / installing new software / downloading photos from my camera [but often ADOS pops up again and I don't get around to processing / uploading them] / checking updates on other websites [e.g. Crystal Hall] / etc.).

As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!

Without further ADOS

I'm sorry to hear that like me you're so easily distracted. I have lots going on and yet nothing seems to be happening and that lack of something positive happening does nothing to stop me from getting distracted. Having said that, I am working on Cruisin' as I write this - or will be when I have finished, which I'm hoping will be available for e-reader in a week or so. However, don't hold your breath :)

If you're interested, the original story was written primarily from Kim's POV, but then went to the others around him or her. This one however, is being written entirely in third person and has a lot more depth - I think. I shouldn't be saying this here, so thank you for your congrats and good luck with getting beyond ADOS

Jessica.jpg I don't just look it, I really am getting into rewriting Cruisin and ... Oooh shiny ...

Shinies? Shinies?!

Where are these shinies! Gimmie shinies! :D

Hey. This is a fiction site. Almost everyone here suffers from some form of ADOS. There's just some kind of link there... Something about writing either triggers ADOS, or something about ADOS triggers writing...

Abigail Drew.

You could be right, Abigail

All the authors I have spoken to or heard speaking, from the enthusiastic amateurs here to the professionals like Pratchett and Gaiman are all a little left of centre. Even JK Rowling is pretty weird.

I think you might be on to something...

Jessica.jpg I don't just look it, I'm completely distracted by everything else

Happy anniversary

you've been here a bit longer than I have, though I suspect I might have used up a bit more of the server memory.

I'm an old git too, and didn't the hills around Dewlish, Cheselbourne and Piddlehinton show it today. However, I managed to stay on the bike - quite how it stayed upright I was going so slow - and got over them all, even showed a turn of speed going down some of them - couldn't squeeze the brakes hard enough!

I've a got a birthday in a couple of weeks but since they moved the retirement age up a couple of years, I've got to wait longer for my bus pass.

Bus passes

I have a few years left before I can claim mine, but by the time that happens, I hope not to be in this country. I wonder whether France has bus passes. I don't know as I have ever even seen a bus. We have bus stops in our village, but I don't think I've ever seen a bus at either of them.

Well done on your riding. I get completely shattered going to Tesco's or round Crown Meadows - I really should get out more. I used to be so good too. I used to be able to make it from Portslade (Fishersgate) to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in twenty minutes on my ten-speed, but I don't think I could make it half way in that time now. I eve got stopped for speeding once down North Street Brighton, but sadly all I get now is a hurry up!

I hope I remember your birthday when it arrives so that I can wish you a happy one, but in the meantime, lest I forget, may I wish you a very happy birthday.

Thanks Ang

Jessica.jpgI may look it, but I am NOT the local bike
