So I thought I'd give an update because SOME members of BCTS are in NJ and were in the path of Hurricane/super storm Sandy at the end of October. Personally, although portions of the town are devastated/condemned (the sub shop that has been where it is for over 40 years as well as the fishery are either gone or condemned), had major property damage, or will be without power for a while (probably the next town over). Personally, we were without power and heat from about Monday nite to early Saturday morning and got internet back the following Wednesday before losing it again for that nite. Our local elementary (and presumably high-school along with the catholic school I went to and graduated from) are re-opening with double sessions because the town next door lost both their schools due to the storm destroying them OR being used as shelters. We had over 200 people in our local school because the siding of one of the senior citizen buildings in town fell down or because their houses were unlivable. Halloween was pushed back to the following Monday. I wasn't able to login on Thursday from where my dad works (which was when they were powering back up the data center due to power restoration on my ipod touch because it wasn't letting me (kept zooming in and out so I couldn't type a character and I wasn't about to use my dad's laptop to say I was alive).

Why am I posting this so late after the storm? Mainly because I both forgot and to tell people here on BCTS that if people that live in NJ haven't been heard from, they are probably evacuated or in areas that won't get power back for a while.

Regarding my story update,I just fired off a e-mail to the editor I picked, Loki, hoping he is OK and that I understand any and all delays in him being able to pick up editing (altho part 1 of story 1 is almost ready for posting, every other part isn't and I basically need him to finish the editing.)

If I could get pictures off the company iphone 4s that my dad has to give you an idea of what occurred in my town, I would.

One other tidbit: Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, it's my fault (that is what someone said to the IT dept where my dad works before saying they were getting a full generator due to Sandy being the THIRD time global operations for the company were basically shut down and they lost millions because of it)
