In the original Friday the 13th, the "Jason Voorhees" that did all the killing was actually his mother, so it already was TG. It was an inversion of Psycho, the original TG horror story. Then there was Sleepaway Camp, where it turned out that the "girl" doing all the killing was really her brother.
