Okay so last night, I had two dreams that were very different.
In the first, I was back in high school, and got word of something happening at my school.
I walked to the school, and found that several student had been killed, and others injured, in what appeared to be a mass shooting.
I joined the shocked survivors in the cafeteria, feeling helpless and guilty for not having been there.
In the second dream, I joined a girl and three boys at party. the girl and one of the boys were a couple, and they were apparently trying to nudge me and the other boy to also become a couple. We ended up going to their backyard p9ol, still clothed, and the girl suggested I could attract the boy if I took my shirt off.
Muttering he was more likely to run away screaming, I awkwardly took my shirt off and said, "well, this is me".
unfortunately I woke before seeing what his reaction was.
My brain is weird, but these two dreams were weird even by my standards.

Remember, dreams are mostly our brains ...
... doing maintenance and housekeeping.
We are 'not supposed' to watch, just like we are 'not supposed' to watch the details of a compost pile, or watch what our guts do with food after we swallow it ...

Some dreams will be disturbing, some will be comforting, some will be "Where-TF did >that< come from?"
And some dreams have been pivot points in "Major World Religions".
Only when our dreams are excessively disturbing, or harp on a common theme, and such, then we might or 'should' think about Talking To Someone.

"Survivors Guilt". Yeah. It's real, it happens, and it can seriously mess up the Survivors ...
I don't know how much my friend suffered from same ... He worked very close to O'hare Airport (Chicago), and said "If it had been the right engine instead that ripped itself off of that jet airplane ..." Co-workers and I saw the smoke from twenty miles away ... (~32 km)

"Dreams of Death and Seduction" - sounds like the title of "now the Major Motion Picture of the year", or cable mini-series, or even a writing prompt for a challenge or contest here, or for some of our "darker" writers ...
