I'm so very sorry for not posting in such a long time.
It seems like it was almost someone else who wrote Accidental Magic and all those other things.
I am rewriting Accidental Magic, at least the first few chapters, and I have a chapter 28 or 29, whichever it happens to be.
Anyone still interested in it?

People Change
People change as they grow. Sometimes they grow as they grow. All too often, they become what they despised.
It's often enlightening to read something one wrote in his youth, or a couple decades earlier. "Wow, did I really believe that?" More likely with me, it's, "Wow, those ideas! I was right back then!" realizing what I'd forgotten.

Dunno about rewrites
I just went back to read the first bit again to refresh my memory, I'm having the memory thing also. :-(
I just can' t see how you could find anything to improve. You already hit a grandslam, you might be able to increase the height it cleared the fence by, maybe.
Oh, yes you could remove any reference to that pile of excretment that wrote those crap books. Especially now that we know just how disgusting she is. BTW, to anybody that uses "mu***e, you may not be aware (anymore) that every time you use that word your IQ decreases.
I'm not a fan of book burnings, but if I ever come into the posession of a working time machine things are gonna change. Certain authors will be disappearing, not that anybody will notice. Not only the woman that wrote those books, the dude that wrote Mine Krap, and whose initials proclaim him to be the Ass Hole he truly was.
After that, who knows? Regretably, the more I think about it the more names I can think of that need retroactive editing. And some major space programs will find their errors before a number of accidents occur killing some damned fine people. Grissom, White, and Chaffee immediately come to mind, but certainly are not the only names on the list.
And that's where I'll stop, as I've gone seriously astray here.

If you want to rewrite it, I'm all for that. I may not believe that it really _needs_ a rewrite, but it's your story, to do with as thou wilt. I'd suggest leaving the 'original' intact, so that the comments stay where they are.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

I've just re-read it coincidentally and was hoping you were still around and life is treating you OK in these troubled times.
