I was watching a video about the "Make a Wish" foundation, who give kids with serious health issues a chance to do something they always wanted to, and it occurred to me, this might make an interesting premise for a story here, like a trans kid uses their wish to spend a day as their true selves, or something.

Sadly, right now my writing spoons are missing, so I cant run with the idea, but maybe someone else would like a crack at it.

what do you think?

I think it's a great idea

which you should write as soon as your spoons return. I'm confident you will do great.

It's a great premise for a story. You should run with it.

nice idea

A very nice idea, here's a bit of brainstorming for you on it.

What if some doctor came forward, once the child began dressing the opposite gender, with an experimental "cure" for the child's cancer/condition that they had not considered because they have only successfully used it on female patients and the child is male. The reason for this is that the drugs will feminize a male body.

Mermaid Day at Bikini Beach?

laika's picture

I saw a wonderful video by a professional mermaid at some water park,
about a little boy who got to be a mermaid---not a merman---for a day.
I think it was just his birthday + not that he had cancer or something;
but Mom was supportive and so was the mermaid lady, and the boy
might've been trans or just had a healthy imagination, but it was
super cute and that was one happy little mermaid princess!
I can't find the video on YouTube but it might
make a sweet story.

Just curious, does anyone know if any BIKINI BEACH author has done one
where the waterpark had a "Mermaid Day", in which the transformations
aren't the park's run of the mill turning-into-girls, but into mermaids?
It seems like such an obvious idea that I'd be surprised if no one
has written a BB story like this, but if not that'd be my hook-
Erm, probably not a good word to use around fishgirls.

Ask Elrod about it. He might agree to someone writing a "Mermaid Day" BB story. Might you write one yourself?
