Well i'm having a bit of a time of things this week but I have got 1902 Sunbeam part 2 completed. The plan is to post it tomorrow.

Another mild day today, blue skies and sunshine this afternoon and some new lanes explored. Was a bit disappointed when I got to my Lunch stop of Rufford Abbey that they were having a Christmas Fayre! It's barely mid November, I thought Xmas was in late December?

Guess i'm missing something, it goes in the same stupid box as one of the big supermarkets selling hot X buns all year - I mean, that's just wrong. The same chain was selling mince pies in August - with a use by date of September - dur!

Anyway, time for my tea so i'll leave you to muse those points and get ready for more Georgi!

Ciao

Holiday sales

Locally Christmas stuff hit the shelves last week of September. Every seasonal change seems to go into place about 3 months in advance. Kind of like starting to run for office 2 or 3 years before the election. Just one more sign masters in marketing rule our world.

Christmas Fayre

I understand your reasoning. I don't like seeing Christmas cheer coming out too early either.

But the moment you posted this I thought of when Gaby organized a Christmas fair much earlier than November. It just tickled my funny bone a little that the author of this story is grumbling about early Christmas fairs.

I so love Gaby.

Something a little different about that though - hardly trying to extend the season, rather providing a sick friend with something special.
