Okay, so in case you're confused, the title of this blog post is a Monty Python joke, not a response to some rumor that I've shed my mortal coil or anything. Many who frequent this site and are kind enough to give my work a look and even a comment or two time and again might be wondering why the story well has dried up so suddenly. Well, things have become a bit complicated as of late. As you may know, I finally published Prom Changed Everything on Amazon and I must say it's doing so much better than I had ever hoped. As of this moment, 147 copies of the book have sold in both ebook and print and 146456 pages have been read through the Kindle Edition Normalized Pages (Kindle Unlimited) program since I published it on March 24. I've also had several comments left on Amazon about the book and all have been very positive and I greatly appreciate them, though I do think one commentor was a bit confused about the rating system because a very positive review was left but was rated only at two stars. Oops. So, since I was churning out work for this site left and right over the course of the summer and fall and now there's been nothing for quite some time, you might be wondering what happened? Have I lost my muse? Am I a one and done kind of author? Am I deliberately shunning the people who have supported me thus far?

Well I can tell you unequivocally no on all accounts. I am indeed still working on my writing and in fact I'm well into working on another book that I'm going to make my second published work. The problem I've run into is being an author, especially a new one, doesn't bring in a whole lot of money right away. While I do dearly hope that I will see ever increasing sales of my work that I might be able to write full time one day, right now that's simply not possible. So, back at the end of February I started a new job that unfortunately has taken up a great deal of my time. While I used to have eight to ten hours a day to work on my book and be able to sort out any inspiration or drive issues, I now have perhaps three or four. I do have days where I simply don't want to stop pounding away on the keyboard because the ideas are coming hard and fast and there are days when I'm either drawing a blank or the ideas that do come to me just don't feel right or won't work with what I've already established. It's a new schedule that I'm still adapting to but things are coming along, it's just coming along slower than before. I also have plans to publish my Whateley pieces as well, though I need to do some serious modifications to them so I'm not violating or infringing upon the copyright of the Whateley creators, and that will also take some time to do.

So yes, I'm still here, and I'm still writing, it's just going to be longer stretches between me being able to post something while I find my groove between writing and work. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the people and the site that basically gave me the confidence in my work to believe that publishing was the way to go. My only hope is that what I offer in the future will continue to be worthy of the same kind of praise that everything I've posted so far has garnered. And who knows, maybe my readers here will get a little something special this next time around.

Also, I've established a Facebook page where I plan to post updates on how things are progressing with my book(s) and where I can hopefully engage more with the people who enjoy my work. Please feel free to check it out at: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100015871213417 .

Thank you for all of your continued kindness and support while I strive to continue to be worthy of it.

Good to see that you are still alive and kicking :-)

I am glad to see that you are well and still writing when you can, I really liked your Whateley tales on BC, Prom i think I read on FM, but parts of it are hard to read, just due to the subject matter, not your writing.

Hope to see more from you in the future.
