Pretend, or Fake Princess

A few years ago, perhaps before Covic, I had been reading a story called something like "Pretend Princess", or "Fake Princess". Today, I remembered it and tried to use the BCTS search engine to find it so I could see if there were further chapters. The search engine indicated that it had "timed out", whatever that is. There had been a few chapters but it stopped, uncompleted. I can't remember the name of the author. I wonder what to do now?

I found the story and up to 8 chapters. For some reason, the persistent log in no longer works, so when I signed in again, the search engine found it immediately. It was "Pretend Princess". To me, the story feels incomplete...

Something like 15 years ago I started writing a story called "Princess For Hire," that I completed around 2013 or 2014-ish. I doubt that's the story you're thinking of, but it's the only Princess story I can think of at the moment like that.

Maybe "The Princess Trap?" Hmm.

Several princess stories

I remember back in the day there were several princess stories here on BCTS. Unfortunately many of them never got a satisfactory closure or ending. There was one by Wren Phoenix that I really enjoyed, but it got literally orphaned. Another by an author I do not remember of an injured princess who has to travel cross-continent for healing, where the story fizzled out about half way through Book 2. Maggy Finson also wrote and published at least one princess story here.
