Taxonomy upgrade extras:

As some of you know, I am the compiler of the DarkRealms Gazetteer. What none of you are aware of is that the DRU Gazetteer is the second list that I compiled. The first list that I came up with is for Penny Lane's "Somewhere Else Entirely" epic story. I did this mainly for my own enjoyment. I have recently sent her the most up-to-date list I have asking for permission to post like I did for the DRU. She came back with an even better idea so that the list would be tied directly to her story page for that series.

The problem we have run into is that I am registered as a reader and not as an author so while she can post it, I would not be able to edit it. We both want me to have the ability to continue to update the list that will be published so that she can continue to do the hard work of actually writing the story that I have been mining for my list.

If anyone has any ideas to correct this problem I would be most appreciative.

Payter Eketta, DRU Lorekeeper

I would recommend contacting Piper or one of the site helpers.

When I posted my first story I made a very slight error in my author's rant that I couldn't correct because I didn't have author privileges. Erin noticed and granted me author privileges so I could fix it.

Have delightfully devious day,

Huh ?

I don't know know what a list is. You aren't gonna rewrite "Somewhere else..." are you?

Gwendolyn

Eh?

The DRU Gazetteer is a sort of character and location guide. I'm assuming her list for Somewhere else entirely would have a similar purpose.

Indeed. This poor fumbling author has had to invent so many names, places and things her head is spinning. And I don't mean that in a good way.

Up till about chapter 20 I had a file with names, places, etc but I found it took longer to keep it synchronized than the time I spent writing. I was surprised when out of the blue I discovered that someone else had done the leg work for me.

I now already use a copy of the list but it would be silly not to let others have the benefit of it. I planned to add it to the bottom of the heirarchy so that it would sort as a kind of Appendix. To do this, and to allow Payter to continue editing it, we have to be joint authors of that page.

I know a little bit of what's that like...

I admit to never having read your stories, but I think to a lesser extent I'm in the similar boat with my Ragnarok Rising stories. Not so much with the characters, but I've managed to create such a complex world that sometimes I struggle to keep track of it all.

I even have a glossary of terms that serves a similar purpose to the Gazetteer

It's a great guide I use it often at work when I don't have my laptop with me.

Okay.

It seems something's been done, courtesy of Erin.

I'm about to go and find out what.

Thank you all for your help and suggestions.
