love to play that

But two problems. One is a lack of money. The other is I never beat Oblivion....or Morrowind. I should beat those first.

I could go back to Batman Arkham city, but I'm stuck and was getting angry at the game. There is always a few others I could play. Or I could write.

I have to send the old one back. If I got to keep it, then it would be used in target practice

Evercrap

There are way better MMORPG's out there than Evercrack. Asheron's Call and Lord of the Rings Online come to mind. Once you can get online again, LOTRO allows people to play for free. I kind of play for free because I purchased a lifetime sub before LOTRO went live.

i'll look into those.

honestly, I promised myself to stay away from MMO's years ago, but we see how well that worked.

If you want to put that money you invested to good use...

On the Evercrack discs, that is, try Shards of Dalaya. I'm no longer particularly interested in escaping reality, so I don't play it myself anymore, but if I were to play an MMO, that'd be the one I'd play.

It's roughly based on EverQuest (classic pre-Sony), but with lots of changes. The main similarities are that it uses the same files, and holds to the same belief in putting lore and role-play first.

Sony ruined EverQuest. And WoW was started as a garbage game in the first place.

One of my favorite things from when I played SoD, was that the staff was really proactive in keeping the server clean from the bastards that would ruin the experience. They even had a strict naming policy and guarded it jealously. Any name that would distract from the game world would be "nerfed" almost as soon as such a character was created. The individual would then be given a few chances to choose an acceptable name before being banned from the server if they refused to follow the naming policy.

i really

Didn't intend to get stuck on an MMO. I just heard it was free to play. I expected my computer to be to weak to play it. Guess I was wrong

Yeah...

EverQuest's engine was originally built back in like the early 90s and shows its age in both positive and negative ways. Positive: most of the time it's really really fast, even on older computers. Negative: some zones are really really laggy no matter what your internet connection or computer. Positive: graphics can't be made too pretty, so don't serve as a distraction from writing good lore. Negative: some of the graphics are really really ugly.

Sony tried their hardest to try to turn EverQuest into a more... mainstream... game, and all they really succeeded in doing was turning the die-hards away in disgust, most of whom ended up on servers like Shards, and opening the servers up to the worst bastards and gaming scum on the internet.

If Sony's EverCrack got you addicted, I think you'll find that Shards will take your addiction to whole new levels.
