I'm about to start posting a new story. It's entitled "If It Was Your Husband". It's the story I talked about in my last blog. After editing it now weighs in at 49,188 words. It's in twenty chapters. It is completely finished and had been out to an editor and back. It is my intention to post it two chapters at a time. That will make each post roughly 5,000 words. It will be my first time posting serial. New adventure as a writer.

The first installment is due to go up tomorrow and it is my intention to post every Friday for the next ten weeks.

It's astounding to me that I had that much story to tell. Normally I can create a set of characters, reveal the backstory and bring it all to an end that leaves people both satisfied and wanting more in about 17 - 20 thousand words.

The story is told from Alex's (the protagonist) point of view. His best friend since middle school has just been caught cross-dressed by his wife. Said wife come to Alex's wife whom she considers a good if not best friend, seeking solace and affirmation that she really is justified in wanting to divorce the pervert. When Alex's wife tells her about Phil Donahue and the cross-dressers that had been on his show, and states that cross-dressing husbands aren't that big a deal, the friend's wife feels betrayed and says, "If it was your husband, wouldn't think it so cool." an storms of now mad at Alex's wife as well.

Alex's wife hatches a plan to help her friend realize that she was right, it's not that big a deal. Of course it's Alex who will have to do the heavy lifting to make the plan work.

Disastrous Response

My own wife responded to my crossdressing with great hostility and ended our marriage of 38 years. Don't get your hopes up. For years I deluded myself into thinking I was Transgender. That was BS.
