Death Threats

So it is seen everywhere then.

It seems LGBTIQ is back on the defensive again in so many parts of the world, even in what I have always perceived as a more progressive country like Canada.

Again, I call upon all LGBTIQ to support our own and not support the forces who are arrayed against us.

To do so makes no sense except that from what I can see, those forces somehow are trying to convince the very people they seek to control or obliterate that they somehow have their best interests at heart. WTF?

It's good

that the community can come together like that but there will always be people who can't cope and will project that onto others, sad individuals they are. We should celebrate our differences not point out our differences. Berks like Trump and his little Russian buddy have no place in a world that celebrates love, they are a throwback to a previous age - the stone age - and the religious right are like the taliban more old fashioned than anyone alive today, they like their opposition to abortion, feel it is wrong to kill a foetus but okay to kill a doctor. The Supreme Court of the US is so far up its own arse it must be constipated.

She Sat Down Beside Me

"Are you really transgender?" She questioned. Then as if an apology, "My friend said you were."
"Yes." I had met the lady several times over the past couple years as she works in one of the big name stores.
"My son told me last week he was gay." She began to pour out her fear for him. She would support him with a mother's love but she was worried. The world wasn't a nice place for gay people.

For approximately ten minutes I listened to her talk about her love for him but as a mother she was scared. She asked me about support groups for gays. I apologized as I knew OKC had several but I didn't remember the names. I'd have more information for her next time we met. Understandably to most, LBGT means an all inclusive understanding and support. Isn't that what the batch of letters means? Not even close. I do a lot of research on the LBG sites but T is tossed in as an after thought. To be fair, all my research is on T and I seldom get sucked into researching LBG except in passing.

Next time I meet my friend I'll have a folder full of data for her on the G groups in and around the OKC area. There are a lot of local groups and national groups along with college groups. If one is G, OKC isn't too bad a place to be. Even my psychologist has a G group meeting. Last year I joined a session. Nope not my thing. Several of my friends are gay, funny as hell, great friends, I just don't want to socialize with them.

Russia has been practicing war crimes since day one on the invasion. Pray all Russians are pushed back into Russia, Putin has to pay for this travesty.
If the country (Ukraine) were to be defeated, it would be a tragedy for Ukrainian people as a whole, but LGBTQ people would risk being "erased completely,"
