So, I found some poetry that I wrote last year, and it lit a spark to write more, and I have an idea for a story!

My question is : I'm toying with including song lyrics at the beginning of each chapter, but am not sure on the best way to format it. I was thinking of doing it as part of chapter titles, similar to a subtitle. Or using it to start the beginning of each chapter. I want to use it to draw readers in.

If anyone has ideas...

A Quote.

I think that a quote as the first paragraph would be good.

Indented block quote

If we are voting then I'd say indented block quote in an italic font.

Just saying

Changing the font color would help

Definitely use blockquote (Q in the bar under the comment) then (n) to change the font color.

As I've done here.

I know that Drea DiMaggio incorporates a lot of music into her stories, both as lyrics quotes, and as links to (YouTube) videos.

This link to one of her stories should get you started: https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/fiction/62756/beauty-uncertainty.

Wow! You learn something every day!
I never even noticed all those html dealies down there,
shows how observant I am. I always used to just use < center >
and make the lines short enough to look nice on the page.
And though I've had it explained to me over and over
how to insert pictures it still eludes me after 15 years at BCTS.
When it comes to computers and the net I'm like the motorist
who only learned how to put her car in drive, which is fine
because I'll just drive on the sidewalk at 15 mph here- Wheeeee!!
