Yay contest.

It never ceases to amaze me the quality of the authors here. Best fiction on the net period TG or not. Good luck everyone! Smiles, Jenn

Every Time

Seems like every time you hold a contest you end up setting a deadline and then extending it. Next time, set a deadline and stick with it! They've had plenty of time to write, if they can't meet the deadline it's "Sorry, Charlie." Extending the deadline really isn't fair to those that followed the rules.

Well if you are speaking of rules

a lot of the entries didn't reach the 6k word count as a minimum. I'm not going to toss them out Karen. I'm trying to include all of those who did participate. I try to encourage those running late because of problems to enter anyways rather than submit nothing at all.

I don't see a reason to be a strict meanie at this point in time. If I had had maybe 40 or more entries I might have been stricter to the deadline. But I have less than 20 (including the late ones).

And if you had been in one of these author's positions entering the contest, I would be as lenient with you as I for them ^^ I'd rather see a final product than nothing at all :)

^^
and finally...

Erin still needs a little time to set up the voting module anyways, So why can't the authors use the dead space of time between the former time deadline and when Erin gets the voting module up (could take from 2 -11 hrs depending on her time frame for Tuesday)?

Now, when the One Winter's Eve contest starts, that will be short and quick - 30 days.
