I know more or less but since I was not told by the author, I will not share. And yes, the stories were deleted and the author asked that her entry in the Author list be removed as well and her log-in account.

Hugs,
Erin

Her author page on Storysite is gone as well.

Although judicious use of Google will show traces of at least two.

This saddens me greatly

I really enjoyed it and would have liked to see the ending. If the author is reading this, please reconsider!

Sad...

but I was expecting Jodi to do this again so I never started reading it fearing exactly what happened. She's done something like this about three times now. Starts a story and then pulls it before it's finished. Did the same on FM a few years ago and had them remove everything of hers.

It's sad that she feels the need to play games like this with her stories and her readers, because when I'm in the mood for that type of writing I really enjoy her work.

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Why Jodie why?! :-(

I enjoyed your story, VERY enjoyable Erotica. Please continue. gives up the Jade from Whateley attack! PUPPY DOG EYES! Please Jodie, you naughty tease you. I need it! More, more, more! starts scratching at his arm. ;-)

I had written Jodie

and the response was disheartening. I felt she was doing a good job as an author and in her writing, however, she did not. I think if all of you were to PM her and tell her what you think, she might be persuaded otherwise. I did try to stop her from deleting her works, but she insisted. I apologize for my failure too, in preventing her from doing what she did. I think there could have been a way to, just I could not find it at the time.

I don't think it can be your fault Seph

The author made the choice, and not for the first time to pull the stories...not being able to talk her out of it isn't a failure...you are already too hard on yourself, don't add to it!

I agree with Frank!

You were very supporting, Sephrena. Please don't take on the weight of my insecurities...

Jodie

I wrote to her also

On her last chapter of Midnight Transformation someone left her a pretty negative review criticizing the direction the story was going. I feared that this was going to upset her and the next day she removed everything. I wrote to her expressing how many of us here liked this type of story as well as the sweeter stories that are the main stay on Top Shelf but she wrote back to thank me for my letter and to say she felt she didn't have an audience here. I don't know why some people feel the need to bash our authors, they are doing us the readers the great service of providing our entertainment and all we the reader has to do is not read a story that we feel is not for us and go on to the next one. So I hope that the next time someone logs on and does not find many new stories they take a moment and consider the impact that a few poorly chosen negative words can have on both authors and readers. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth

I agree wholeheartedly with

I agree wholeheartedly with Talonx.

The site is poorer for the loss of any author. As a fan of Jodie's writing style and stories I am very disappointed that the words of one commenter led to fans losing their opportunity to finish reading a great story. Unfortunately the positive comments and reviews of others couldn't outweigh the negative feelings. Ultimately it's Jodie's right to do what she will with her work, but it's very unfortunate that fans will now miss the end of not only Midnight Transformations, but an opportunity to read her other great stories.

Hrist

My apologies.

(I've been out of town for a while and I haven't had much time to read messages lately, so I didn't see this post until tonight.)

I apologize for not posting the end of Midnight Transformations and for removing what I had posted so far--I should have been stronger than that. Unfortunately, I'm a sensitive TG woman (and a very sensitive artist) and have unusual/deviant tastes. Very few people can understand me or care to understand me--instead, they treat me as a target. That's nothing new to me--in real life or on line--so I should have been better prepared for it.

Anyway, I sincerely apologize to the readers, to Sephrena, and to Erin for removing my story. Of all the sites that have been kind enough to tolerate my style, this site certainly has the best format and is the most author friendly (many thanks again to Erin and Sephrena for that). That being said, I know my stories don't fit in here, so I thought it would be best for everyone if I pulled them off.

For the few of you who were still reading along: I feel bad about not posting the ending to the story, so I'm going to see if I can have it posted at Fictionmania and have the comments turned off. Please understand that that's not a vote against Topshelf (believe me, I really don't want to post the story at all right now), it's just that I think the readers who plowed through 90 pages of crappy writing deserve to have the last few chapters to read or skim through--whichever they prefer.

Not crap at all

Jodie,

I've been reading your stories for some years and I have always enjoyed them enormously.

You are a very talented author. I wish I could recommend your works to friends who are not transgendered but who love great writing but that would "out" me.

Please do post the completion of Midnight Transformations. It has been a fantastic work and deserves to be published to completion.

I just happened to check

I just happened to check FictionMania this morning and it has been posted there, and it says complete, so we will see if it is.

Reader's Emotion

Writer's can hit a readers nerve and get a response that has nothing to do with their work but everything to do with the readers emotional state.

I must admit to occasionally letting emotion drive a response to an author's work. My trigger is the result of being abused by a female partner for about 5 years. The emotional turmoil that is generated within me when I read stories that have abuse is difficult to describe. You have no Idea how the strength of these emotions effect me. I get up and pace, I've gone for many long walks before I have suppressed the anger that wells up within me. My mind/body is my enemy. I shake with tremors. My fists clench as if they were not controlled by me. I can't sit and must walk if i sit I stand within a minute. I take deep breaths. I meditate on running water and wind in the trees waiting for the calm to return to my racing heart. A heart that has been beating faster and faster as anxiety hammers it's will upon my being.

This is not the fault of the author but result of how the author has struck a nerve that hasn't healed within me even though I've been separated from that individual for almost 4 years now. Instead this is the author's kudo that they have written and expressed something that results in such a passionate response. To strike this nerve means that the author has been very expressive or descriptive in their writing.

Realizing the source of my response may be generated by my emotions I have taken to destroying those responses generated by these emotions before posting them. I don't think the ones I did post bashed the author but understand that without understanding my history the author might feel attacked when I was trying to heal myself by expressing my emotions. Emotions generated by just a few years of abuse.

My daughter suffered a little less than a year of this abuse before she left the house to be on her own. A good book to read to try and understand the type of abuse I was under is "Stop Walking On Eggshells".

My thoughts for Jodie are "Your work is your expression and fiction is not bound by anything but your imagination. Accept that others have opinions but so do you and in fiction yours RULE"

Hugs
